Big Title Match And Segments Announced For Tonight's WWE SmackDown

WWE has announced that Jeff Hardy will defend his Intercontinental Title against ex-champion AJ Styles on tonight's episode of SmackDown.

This will count as AJ's rematch opportunity (which is interesting, because WWE previously claimed that they wouldn't be doing automatic rematches anymore - that's another argument). He's expected to lose and then both men will move on to other things.

Jeff has issues with Sami Zayn and Styles...well, he make anything WWE give him work.

Elsewhere on the show, Bayley will appear in-ring to address her vicious attack on former tag-team partner Sasha Banks last week. Banks will presumably no-show and sell the kayfabe injuries she sustained; WWE's official website previously reported that Sasha suffered a "severe bone bruise in her knee" and a "compressed nerve in her neck".

Finally for SmackDown, Bray Wyatt will introduce his "new friend" on a special episode of 'Firefly Fun House'. All signs are pointing towards this "friend" being Alexa Bliss. She's in the process of splitting from partner Nikki Cross and has been undergoing a visible change in recent weeks.

That trio of matches/segments should make for another fun episode.
