Billy Corgan told Busted Open Radio this week that he's still bitter over the way his dealings with Impact Wrestling ended.

The ex-Smashing Pumpkins frontman sued the company, who were still officially called TNA back then, for $1.8m in unpaid loans in late-2016. The lawsuit was later resolved on 26 November that year, but Corgan remains unhappy with how things turned out.

To him, people he considered good friends had "no problem stabbing him in the back", and he believed the messy situation was totally avoidable. Corgan then went on to say that TNA would have shut down had he not stumped up personal cash to keep things afloat two years ago, and finalised that by claiming there would be "no Impact Wrestling today if I didn't write a check on that particular day".

After dealing with the personal strain of fractured friendships and a financial hole in his pocket, Corgan turned his attention to reviving the once-proud NWA brand. He's since been included in promotion for the Cody Rhodes and Young Bucks-led All In event on 1 September.

Despite physically moving on though, Corgan is still mentally reeling over the sad end to his TNA tenure.
