Bret Hart's 10 Best Matches Ever

9. Vs. Mr. Perfect (King Of The Ring 1993)

If you ask Bret himself, he'll tell you that the match he had with Curt Hennig at an untelevised house show in Alaska in 1989 was among the very best of his career. Sadly, no footage exists, so when picking the best Hart/Perfect match in which there's substantiating video, their King of the Ring bout trumps their one from SummerSlam 1991.

It was a semi-final clash in the tournament for the crown, and the two added a little pre-match heat with an argument over whose father was tougher. The two babyfaces then proceeded to blend their world-class scientific wrestling with heated brawling segments to underscore the hyper-competitive tone. You know you're watching a special match when even pithy heel Bobby Heenan is awed by the drama created among two babyfaces.

The gamesmanship and injury targeting (with Perfect embracing his old heel leanings once more) made for a fierce competition, and arguably WWE's best match of 1993. That it was the second of three highly-physical matches for Hart that night adds to its impression.
