The Viper's second vacation in Suplex City was a short stay.

We haven't seen Brock Lesnar compete since SummerSlam, but he returned to action off-air at the Allstate Arena in Chicago on Saturday night.

In one of The Beast's very few fights of the year, he took on Randy Orton in a rematch from SummerSlam, but this time the match went even shorter. In total, the two had six minutes of action in a No DQ match.

The bout started with Orton blindsiding Lesnar by attacking him from the crowd, and later hitting him with a chair. It wasn't enough to keep him down, though, as Lesnar quickly gave his opponent a series of suplexes and an F-5 for the win.

This is a bit of an interesting strategy on WWE's part. They already had Lesnar go over one of their top stars clean at their biggest show of the summer, and now he outright destroyed Orton in the sequel at a show that only thousands of fans were at.

It's hard to believe the company would go another round with the two, as the matches were such one-sided affairs. Lesnar is likely to move on to another big money match in a few months, while Orton retreats to the much less dangerous Bray Wyatt.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW.
