Brock Lesnar's WWE Future After Disagreement With Vince McMahon

News on Lesnar's current status with WWE.

Brock Lesnar is contracted for four more dates with the WWE. His future beyond that is up in the air, following a disagreement with Vince McMahon this past week at Monday Night Raw. Lesnar left the show early, and Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that this was due to a disagreement with Vince McMahon. Meltzer states the business dispute "related to negotiations regarding Lesnar signing a new contract." There are no specifics beyond that. The issue could perhaps be settled easily and quickly, but right now both sides are at an impasse. Lesnar and McMahon are stubborn guys, so any negotiation is going to involve neither man wanting to blink first. Lesnar left Raw during the show, then on Tuesday, McMahon told the WWE locker room that there'd been an unresolved problem. That's all there is to it, for now. It isn't a creative issue, it is purely business. Also, the Roman Reigns drug test failure rumour has finally been killed. WWE took their time in responding, but finally told PWInsider "That story is absolutely, 100% untrue." The company's failure to kill that rumour in a quick manner was a serious mistake. The story was massive on forums, social media and news sites throughout Wednesday. It was yet another, undeserved, knock to Roman Reigns as a top guy. The truth is a lot less controversial but still very intriguing. There will be a WhatCulture feature later today looking at the potential issues around Lesnar and Vince right now. Lesnar's remaining four dates with WWE are the 3/9 Raw in Pittsburgh, the 3/23 Raw in Los Angeles, WrestleMania, and the Raw the day after. You could argue that he owes them for Monday, but he did actually attend the taping as contracted. It is just that he and WWE ended up not working on camera. It is clearly bad planning with Vince McMahon negotiating with a top star in the month before his contract is up. It's a strange situation and only time will tell what comes out of all of this.
