Having being curiously omitted from WWE's Hall of Fame even as any number of less-than-logical selections have leapfrogged him, it seems as though Brutus 'The Barber' Beefcake is finally to make the cut at this year's edition.

A promotional plug on New York radio station WHTZ 100.3 FM for the ceremony listed Beefcake alongside the previously confirmed names. Most recently, it was announced that the original Hart Foundation will be honoured in Brooklyn next weekend.

Ed 'Brutus Beefcake' Leslie was one of the more prominent names during WWE's 'Golden Era', frequently appearing alongside great mate Hulk Hogan at the top of the card, most notably in the main event of movie/wrestling double-bill No Holds Barred.

Before his babyface singles run with a set of shears in his hands, Leslie captured WWE's tag team titles alongside Hall of Famer Greg 'The Hammer' Valentine.

Leslie is also notable for the lengthy list of gimmicks he accrued whilst under the auspices of WCW, his many cracking personas featuring the likes of Zodiac, The Booty Man, and The Butcher.

Hulk Hogan is supposedly scheduled to fly in for WrestleMania 35, now he's back in the company's good books. We can only assume The Hulkster will be on hand to induct his lackey - assuming they are on speaking terms this week, anyway.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
