Chris Jericho Makes SHOCK New Japan Return

He's back!

Chris Jericho

Chris Jericho has just made a shocking return to New Japan Pro Wrestling, where he attacked EVIL prior to the former IWGP tag team champion's match against Zack Sabre, Jr. which was meant to determine Jericho's first challenger for his IWGP Intercontinental Championship.

EVIL was blindsided by Jericho as he was making his entrance at NJPW's 'King of Pro Wrestling 2018' event. Y2J pulling the King of Darkness from the apron having disguised himself as one of EVIL's entourage.

Although Jericho was masked during the attack, it was clear that it was the Intercontinental champion through his offence, and due to the fact that you could see his championship belt underneath his leather jacket.

Having beaten EVIL down on the outside and choked him with some camera wires, Jericho proceeded to throw him into the ring before hitting a Codebreaker and unmasking for the shocked audience in Tokyo.

Jericho's final act was to hit EVIL with the Intercontinental Championship and pose over his prone body, before leaving the arena, pausing only to glance back at the carnage he'd just caused with a smirk.

The planned match between EVIL and ZSJ was declared a no contest and it seems that Jericho will now defend his title against EVIL at Power Struggle on November 3rd.
