Chris Jericho has apparently shaved his hair off for a new film role. The former WWE star published a photo to his Instagram account, which showed off his new haircut. "Welcome to #BALDISJERICHO!! Well I finally did it....after years of thinking about it! Little nervous, but just landed the ROLE of a lifetime and this was part of the deal. Thoughts?" he stated in a short blurb of text accompanying the photo. The timing of this on April 1st, April Fools Day, will of course raise some suspicions around the photo. Jericho is no stranger to trolling his followers and the wider internet wrestling community. But if this is a fake, it is a very good one. It very much looks like the real thing, it looks as if he really has had a haircut. It would make sense that he'd change his hairstyle, as he does indeed have a range of tv and film roles lined up. Also, his long hair has been thinning for a while and it makes sense to go shorter as you get older in life. What is a shame about this is that Jericho didn't use the haircut as part of a wrestling angle. Imagine if he'd had put it on the line in a hair vs hair match at WrestleMania or the Raw afterwards? He should really have used his famous hair for what it was worth, but unfortunately he isn't working with WWE at this moment in time.
