Chris Jericho Unleashes Angry Tirade On Disrespectful WWE Fans

Read the star's outraged comments toward fans who disrupted the Hall of Fame ceremony.

Chris Jericho took the first few moments €“ following the requisite Fozzy tune of course - of his Wednesday edition of Talk Is Jericho to let his frustrations be known at the growing sentiment of fans who have taken to Twitter and accused him of being a WWE shill for supporting the company€™s booking decisions and proclaiming himself a big fan of Roman Reigns. He made it a point to state that he is not a WWE employee, just someone who is giving his (informed) opinion. In addition to that, he also let loose on the fans who decided to chant and catcall at the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony, calling them out for being disrespectful and unappreciative of the men and women who€™ve earned that honor. He took exception to fans who debate a performer€™s merits on being inducted into the Hall and said that every single person who has made it in deserves to be there. His response to fans who feel they can chant and conduct themselves however they please because they paid their money for their ticket and €œpay your salaries€ was to use the analogy of a Broadway play, where no one would be allowed to behave in such a manner regardless of how much they spent on a ticket.
€œYou DO NOT have the right to say and do whatever you want at a Hall of Fame ceremony because it€™s a prestigious ceremony. It€™s a respectful ceremony. And don€™t tell me I€™m not right about this, because I don€™t care. If you don€™t believe it, you do not deserve to go to the Hall of Fame. Because people have DIED for this business. They have DIED because of this business. My friends have DIED in this business. Blood, sweat, tears, wheelchairs, paralyzed for life, mental issues, head trauma. Don€™t tell me that every single person who is inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame is not worthy. And DO NOT tell me they don€™t deserve your respect for getting this prestigious award and to go onstage and to say a few words€to say what they have to say without getting sidetracked by a couple of morons who think it€™s funny to go disrupt the ceremonies.€ €œI€™m not joking. If the day comes when I get inducted into the Hall of Fame and some son of a b*tch is trying to steal the show, steal my thunder, I will walk to your seat and I will slap you in your face, okay? That€™s how much I believe in this.€
Chris then tore into those who doubted the Bushwhackers HoF credentials by saying that they deserved the respect to get up there on that stage and entertain one final time - especially Butch, hobbled on crutches €“ for all their sacrifices and missed family time. €œWho cares if they never won the tag team titles? It€™s not about that you stupid mark.€ When he was finished venting his anger he ended the rant with this proclamation: If you€™re one of those people and you disagree with me? You€™re banned from listening to this podcast. You€™re banned.€
