CM Punk Appears As Wrestler In Frank Turner Music Video

The former WWE Champion gets in a fight for the sake of entertainment.

CM Punk is a busy man training for his first ever UFC fight and although he's attempted to distance himself from wrestling as much as possible, he can't quite shake off the sport completely. The above image is from the new Frank Turner music video called "The Next Step" that was released on Monday, where Punk basically appears as himself, a fighter/wrestler competitor. In the video, the former WWE Champion Punk dressed like a guy ready for a fight that is taking place in a boxing ring although it could be considered a wrestling ring too. They show Turner performing the song in front of excited fans for much of the video, but it also features Punk having a match with Turner. The song is about being free with Turner singing about how he didn't want to spend his life indoors, so it's about a guy that steps out to try something different. https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=P4IZbCl6iR4 While Punk hasn't talked about why he took part in the video, the message of the song is about being strong and fighting back. That's something that Punk can certainly relate to because he didn't have an easy upbringing and definitely fought for everything he has in his life. There's a lot of energy in the song as Turner sings about rejoicing and rebelling. At the conclusion of the video, after Punk was winning their fight, he signals for Turner to bring the fight to him. That's when Turner hits him with a Spear and then hits an elbow drop leading to a three count by the referee to give Turner the win. When Punk was asked if he was a Turner fan on Twitter, he replied with a comment that was likely a joke. https://twitter.com/CMPunk/status/610474302551429120
