CM Punk Offered Hosting Role For Reality TV Show

CM Punk could be the next reality TV sensation.

CM Punk has been offered the opportunity to host a reality television show. Dave Meltzer revealed the news on the f4wonline message boards, saying that a major network was trying to get in contact with him about it. It wasn't clear if this was before or after Punk exited the WWE, but you'd probably have to speculate that it was afterward. Meltzer stated, €œNo idea if he€™s doing it, but can factually tell you since the guy in charge of the show went through me to get his contact info.€ It would certainly be an interesting career change for Punk. He's absolutely got the personality and charisma to carry such a project off. However, he also seems to be the kind of guy who'd maybe recoil at the idea of reality TV. We just don't know. He's a man of contradictions, so maybe he would go for it. This news comes in the same week that Meltzer reported TNA Wrestling was interested in signing Punk. The southern based outfit have now denied this story, saying that they never made any play for Punk. In truth, it's probably best to side with Meltzer's version of events. You could absolutely believe that TNA would go after one of the biggest (potentially available) wrestling names on the planet. The company is now perhaps just trying to save face, because of course it is unlikely that Punk would ever go there. In an update on another Punk story, it has now been confirmed that he was backstage at a recent OVW show. However, it was just a social call to his old friend Danny Davis.
