Cruiserweight Tag Match Added To WWE Fastlane 2017 Kickoff Show
A high-energy opener to start the show.
On Monday's Raw, WWE announced another cruiserweight bout for Sunday's Fastlane PPV - Rich Swann and Akira Tozawa will team up to take on The Brian Kendrick and Noam Dar in a bout that will air on the kickoff show.
The match joins the already-announced Cruiserweight Championship contest pitting Neville against "Gentleman" Jack Gallagher.
The bout combines two feuds that have been developing on Raw and 205 Live over the past couple of weeks. Upon Akira Tozawa's much-hyped Raw debut, Kendrick offered his services as a mentor to the former Dragon Gate star. Tozawa refused, prompting a continuing series of attacks from the former WWE Cruiserweight Champion. Additionally, Rich Swann - who lost the Cruiserweight Title to Neville at the Royal Rumble - has been at odds with Dar since returning from an ankle injury.
WWE's Fastlane kickoff show airs this Sunday at 7:00 PM ET on the WWE Network. Also scheduled for the show are Universal Champion Kevin Owens versus Goldberg, Raw Tag Team Champions The Club versus Enzo Amore and Big Cass, and Women's Champion Bayley defending against Charlotte Flair in a mandated rematch.
