Dana White Wants To See A Healthy Brock Lesnar Back In The UFC

UFC President talks about Lesnar returning to the octagon.

UFC President Dana White has left the door open for Brock Lesnar to make a Mixed Martial Arts return. Speaking as part of UFC Download, White said €œIt€™s pretty amazing what he did and accomplished here while having diverticulitis. It would be interesting to see a 100 percent healthy Brock Lesnar compete.€ Lesnar's current deal with World Wrestling Entertainment is set to expire in Spring 2015, just after March's WrestleMania 31 show. In the past few weeks there has been increasing speculation that Brock may opt to return to the UFC. Notable fighters like Frank Mir and Shane Carwin have already called him out. There's no doubt about it, UFC's biggest ever pay per view draw could certainly make very big money in a UFC return. He's perhaps tempted, or at least happy that he can use the UFC lure as a leverage in WWE contract negotiations. The truth is, UFC needs him. They've had an awful 2014 in which just about every major name has suffered an injury. The amount of events they've had with genuine headliners was very few, as various fights ended up suffering cancellations for one reason or another. Lesnar could restore some shine to the UFC's brand and bring back some of the audience they've clearly lost. He's a limited fighter, but people don't pay to see skill, they pay to see attractions. €œI have a great relationship with Brock, we talk all the time,€ White said. €œI don€™t know, we€™ll see. If he wants to fight, he knows my number.€ That comment pretty much puts the ball in Brock's court. He's reportedly fit and healthy, so there is a chance this could happen."It looks to me like he's gotten back on track," Jim Ross told Fox Sports on October 6th. "He looks phenomenal strength-wise. He's just scary looking. He's more scary looking than he was before he left . € I see no reason he couldn€™t have the potential to return to the UFC and sell pay-per-views.€ Fox followed this up with a poll to see if fans wanted Lesnar to return to UFC in 2015. WWE may be pushing Lesnar hard as the WWE Champion, but a UFC return for the 37 year old is looking ever more likely. At his age, it is going to be 2015 or never.
