Daniel Bryan To Learn His WWE Future This Week?

Bryan set to meet WWE's top doctor this week.

Daniel Bryan is expected to meet with WWE doctors this week in a further attempt to clarify his wrestling future with the company. PWInsider.com reports that the former World champion will travel to Pittsburgh, PA in the coming days to either undergo further medial testing to investigate his current condition or for a face-to-face meeting with WWE's Dr. Joseph Maroon to perhaps try again in his pursuit to be cleared for a return to a WWE ring. Maroon is WWE's head of Wellness Policy testing and so far has only given a negative verdict on Bryan's wrestling future. It is his judgment they pay for when attempting to distinguish whether a contracted performer is safe to wrestle and so far Maroon has blocked any notion of Bryan returning. It should be noted that Bryan's trip to Pittsburgh was already scheduled as he's due to appear at the World of Wheels convention this Friday, so it could just be the case of a convenient time to meet a WWE doctor for a health update. As has been reported several times in the past, it is believed that Bryan sought out a second opinion on his health several months ago and that independent doctor, who doesn't work for WWE, cleared him for an in-ring return. But to date (and it's unlikely this stance would change), WWE will only seriously consider what their own doctor says about their performer's health and well-being.
