Daniel Bryan Will Be In WWE Royal Rumble

The former WWE Champion is back in action.

There was a lot of speculation going into Monday's Raw due to a tweet sent out by injured former WWE Champion Daniel Bryan about three hours before the show: "Everyone comes to a crossroads in their life and I€™ve come to mine. I look forward to telling you all about it tonight on #Raw." Fans began speculating that maybe Bryan was going to have to retire from wrestling for good. We didn't receive any significant updates on his health for such a long time that it was a legitimate possibility that he might have to retire. When Bryan appeared on Raw in the final hour (not in the main event), there was a lot of anticipation of what he might say whether it was good news or bad news. Bryan did a promo about how amazing it was to headline WrestleMania 30 and become WWE Champion. He talked about marrying Brie Bella later in the same week. Then he talked about the sadness of his father passing away as well as the major neck injury suffered. Bryan was very emotional as he went ahead with his announcement. "Is my career over?" The fans chanted "no" as Bryan stood there listening to them. "No! That is not the announcement that I came here to make. I am ready to fight. I am ready to repeat. Will I be in the 2015 Royal Rumble? Yes! Yes Yes!" Then the crowd joined in with the "yes" chants and it was as if Bryan never left. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OHBI83cbcds At this time it is unknown if Bryan is going to wrestle before the Royal Rumble or what his schedule might be. If he does wrestle it might be at some live events leading up to the Rumble, but it would be in WWE's best interests to avoid putting him in a match on TV until the Rumble itself. That way it builds up the anticipation of what he might do. If he does wrestle on TV, it might just be to get him a win or two to show that he's ready to go. Bryan's inclusion in the Rumble match makes him one of the biggest favourites for the match. It would be an amazing comeback story for one of WWE's most popular wrestlers at a time when the product has become very stale. However, from WWE's perspective it would be easy to understand why they would be apprehensive about pushing Bryan to another WWE Title win when he missed seven months of action this year. What if he gets hurt again? Then what happens? Don't be shocked if WWE goes with the plan of giving Roman Reigns the Royal Rumble win or perhaps somebody like Dean Ambrose or Seth Rollins will win it. The Royal Rumble takes place in less than four weeks on January 25th, 2015 in Philadelphia.
