In some surprising news, it sounds like a new wrestling promotion is about to begin, featuring a bunch of famous names. Well, famous names in the sense that their father's are famous.

TMZ caught up with Brittany Page (DDP's daughter), who broke the news that she's joining forces with a bunch of other famous wrestling daughters to form their own promotion:

Besides Brittany, Brooke Hogan, Lacey Von Erich, Ariel Toombs (Roddy Piper's daughter) and Bianca Brigitte VanDamme (not RVD's daughter, but the daughter of Jean Claude VanDamme) are all joining forces to start a promotion. Christy Hemme has also been named as an authority figure.

It's hard to know how to process this news! For starters, Lacey Von Erich is a terrible wrestler, one of the worst TNA ever had. Brooke Hogan has never wrestled a match, neither has Ariel or Brittany or VanDamme! When Lacey is your most accomplished grappler, that's a real sign of trouble.

Their plan is to take on TNA, which...well, doesn't make any sense. The entire Knockout's Division has roughly half-a-dozen women, none of whom are over in the same way as Charlotte or Sasha Banks.

However, we don't know who else they have joining the company, or who is investing in the project. Due to the success of WWE's Women's Division, now is the right time to get an all-women's promotion off the ground, but there are a lot of unknowns at play here.

It's definitely something to keep an eye on, but it's hard to not be a bit skeptical on how it will all work at the moment.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
