Davey Richards' return to professional wrestling has been officially confirmed. He'll debut for Global Syndicate Wrestling on 22 May.

The New Jersey-based promotion confirmed the news on their Twitter account, revealing that 'The Lone Wolf' will be appearing at their event titled Catalyst. This streams live on FITE TV, and is main evented by a World Championship clash between Alexander Hammerstone and Chris Dickinson.

It had previously been speculated that Davey would be returning to the ring. He had posted two separate cryptic messages on his Facebook in early March indicating as such.

Having debuted in 2004, Davey Richards is perhaps best known for his time spent alongside Eddie Edwards as The American Wolves. Together, the duo were multi-time World Tag Team Champions, holding the gold in Ring Of Honor and IMPACT Wrestling, while Davey was also a tag champ alongside Roderick Strong, Super Dragon, and Rocky Romero in Pro Wrestling Guerrilla and New Japan Pro Wrestling.

An accomplished singles wrestler too, Davey is a former World Champion in ROH, PWG, and Combat Zone Wrestling, the last of which he dropped to Shane Strickland - now Isaiah 'Swerve' Scott in NXT - in his apparent retirement match.
