It would seem Davey Richards is on his way back to professional wrestling.

The former Ring Of Honor and Impact Wrestling mainstay posted two cryptic posts to Facebook, as noted by The Indy Corner; the first shows his trademark logo, while the second simply says "Summer '21".

'The Lone Wolf' last wrestled in July 2017, where he lost a four-way contest to Shane Strickland - now Isiah 'Swerve' Scott in NXT - at a Combat Zone Wrestling event. He confirmed that November that he would be cancelling all of his 2018 bookings in order to concentrate on his studies towards becoming a doctor.

Best known for his work in the aforementioned Impact and ROH, Davey is a former multi-time World Tag Team Champion with Eddie Edwards, Rocky Romero, Super Dragon, and other partners, and also held the World Championship in both ROH and Pro Wrestling Guerrilla.

He was once considered one of the greatest independent talents, even earning a random NXT appearance.

Where Davey fits into the current landscape of professional wrestling isn't entirely clear right now, but with former American Wolves pal Eddie Edwards currently tearing it up in Impact, it seems only logical for Davey to return to the Impact Zone.
