Did Big Star Power Help WWE Raw Ratings This Week?

How did The Undertaker, Vince & Shane, Mick Foley and Roman Reigns affect the viewership numbers?

The WWE RAW ratings were a mixed bag of news for WWE this week. Yes, the overall number was down again, but there was some good news mixed in with that negative. The third hour of the show was actually the most viewed hour this week, bucking the trend of it being the least viewed for months on end. This week€™s edition of WWE RAW averaged 3.458 million viewers. Viewership decreased compared to last week€™s March 7 edition of RAW which averaged 3.551 million viewers, but the third hour being the most watched was the first time that this has happened since last July. The hourly viewership breakdown in week€™s WWE RAW ratings were as follows:
First Hour: 3.471 million viewers Second Hour: 3.392 million viewers Third Hour: 3.510 million viewers
RAW€™s third hour this week featured a singles match between Triple H and Dolph Ziggler as well as an in-ring segment between the McMahons and The Undertaker. Though this was Hunter's first match on RAW in quite some time, this was also the first time that Shane McMahon and The Undertaker have appeared in the ring together since their Hell In A Cell match at WrestleMania 32 was announced. Clearly the Undertaker/McMahon segment is what drew-in the viewers for the highly watched hour number three this week. RAW finished Monday night as the second most watched show in the cable television ratings (The O'Reilly Factor slightly beat it in viewership), but RAW did earn first place for the night in the 18-49 demographic ratings.
