Do WWE Have Plans For Bobby Lashley Vs. Brock Lesnar?

Lashley sure hopes so...

The Wrestling Observer are reporting that WWE currently have no plans to present Brock Lesnar vs. Bobby Lashley in the near future.

In a sense, the news here is that there is no good news, at least for Lashley. That's something he'll be disappointed by; Lashley has been campaigning for a match against Brock for a good few years now, and has in the past claimed that Paul Heyman occasionally reaches out to him personally to gauge interest.

According to Dave Meltzer, the plan right now seems to be Brock dropping the Universal Title to Roman Reigns on 27 April at WWE's Greatest Royal Rumble event in Saudi Arabia. After that, what he does next is anyone's guess, but it'd make sense to have some sort of 'MMA vs. MMA' (or Beast vs. Beast) match against Lashley before Lesnar's current short-term deal expires.

That's all up in the air too. Lesnar's current contract allows him to fight in UFC, and that's something WWE could take advantage of in a program against Lashley.

Both have MMA experience, match up well physically and fill that monster attraction quota Vince McMahon so loves.
