Io Shirai's plate is looking fuller than ever...

Both Ember Moon and Toni Storm returned to NXT within minutes of one another following Io Shirai's Women's Championship victory over Candice LeRae.

'The Genius Of The Sky' was celebrating her victory when Toni Storm appeared on the ThunderDome-esque screen behind her to confirm her impending re-emergence on the black-and-gold brand. The former NXT UK Women's Champion had been expected to reappear on that show, but this seemed to indicate a full time move to the black-and-gold brand.

As Shirai let that sink in, footage aired of the teased mystery insurgent riding a motorbike into the Capitol Wrestling Center and heading to the stage. She quickly revealed herself as former NXT Women's Champion Ember Moon, returning to the show after departing in early-2019. Moon's main roster run was mostly uneventful before she picked up a serious injury, but a later update from Triple H noting she'd provided a list of 12 opponents seemed to imply she was ready to start dishing out Eclipses again any time soon.

The returns reflect yet more emphasis placed on the show's strongest suit - with Storm and Moon both aiming to return at the top, it reflects a league of talent stacked at just about every level.
