Emma Undergoes Successful Surgery

The diva from down under goes under the knife.

There's no good time to get an injury, but receiving one just as you've completed something of a career renaissance and seem to be getting more and more focus on WWE's flagship show is pretty bad timing.

Add this to the extra sadness of the injury affecting a colleague who has just been called up to join you on the show, and you have a difficult time indeed.

Such is reality for Emma however, who recently ruptured a disc at a live event and required practically immediate surgery to deal with the problem. Surgery was scheduled for Wednesday, and Emma has recently tweeted that the surgery was indeed a success, and that now is the time for rest.

There's no telling as to how long Emma will be out for. She could be back on-screen managing Dana Brooke within a month, but she is unlikely to be in any shape to perform until September at the earliest. A lot will depend on how banged up her body is in general, her rehab, and how much time she spends with surprisingly-injury free Zack Ryder.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
