Could the former two-time World Champion be competing at Bound For Glory?

Eric Young was doing tremendous work alongside Joe Doering, Deaner, and Rhino in his Violent By Design group when injury struck, putting 'The World Class Maniac' out of action with a torn ACL. That went down at IMPACT's March tapings.

'EY's' last match, a win over former rival Eddie Edwards, aired on the 22 April IMPACT broadcast, but now a timeframe has been estimated for the VBD man's return to in-ring competition.

During a virtual signing session with the Highspots Wrestling Network, Young revealed he plans to be cleared by October (h/t POST Wrestling for the transcription):-

“It’s bittersweet that I don’t get to compete. This three months actually is the longest I’ve gone without wrestling since 1997. So the longest was my 90-day non-compete so now this is definitely, officially the longest I’ve gone and I’ve got three months to go. So I will be cleared, I believe for October which is Bound For Glory. So, we’ll see what happens.”

Of course, IMPACT's Bound For Glory pay-per-view will go down on 23 October in Las Vegas, with no venue officially confirmed thus far. Young's return to action could very easily be a marquee attraction for that event.

Most recently, VBD dropped the World Tag Team Championships to the Good Brothers at last Saturday's Slammiversary event.
