Every Wrestler Who Defeated John Cena For The WWE Title (And How They Did It)

Lost already to WWE's careful reimagining of the recent past, it's remarkable to think that less than two years ago, Alberto Del Rio registered a pinfall over John Cena, clean as a sheet, to take his US Title.

With Del Rio gone from the company within twelve months of the shocking victory, little fanfare will be made of a fairly significant result, but it was not the first time Alberto had taken a title from 'The Leader Of The Cenation'.

However, Del Rio's title victory at October 2011's 'Hell In A Cell' Pay-Per-View was achieved with far less honour than the aforementioned clash, and didn't even involve Cena getting pinned to lose, as per the rules of a WWE triple threat.

Having fought over the title the prior month at 'Night of Champions', the rematch between the two also included CM Punk for a three-way clash inside the cage.

In the closing portion of the match, Cena would find himself locked out of the Cell thanks to some Del Rio chicanery, allowing Alberto to strike Punk with a lead pipe to the head and steal the WWE Title right in front of the powerless Champion.
