Tonight's episode of WWE NXT is the second of three pretaped shows before live broadcasts return on 14 September. Spoilers hit the internet last week, but not this time around, which may or may not be a consequence of WWE ejecting people from the Capitol Wrestling Center.

This will likely be one of the last NXT shows before the promised makeovers. A bright new logo was unveiled to a largely negative response over the weekend, then promoted on last night's Raw, suggesting that the makeover is happening sooner rather than later. Perhaps 14 September will play host to it.

Johnny Gargano and LA Knight will wrestle in tonight's likeliest main event, with both wrestlers jostling for position as potential NXT Title contenders. Elsewhere, Tommaso Ciampa goes after Ridge Holland, who injured Timothy Thatcher last week, while Kyle O'Reilly and Roderick Strong will also be in action.

Ilja Dragunov will also make his first appearance since dethroning WALTER as UK Champion, with WWE teasing a new challenger emerging.
