Ex-TNA Couple Reportedly Coming To WWE
SmackDown is about to get a new power couple...
Former WWE Diva Maria Kanellis is set for a long-overdue return to the promotion, according to SportsKeeda.com.
Even more interesting are reports that Maria would be bringing husband Mike Bennett with her, and that the duo would be finding a new home each Tuesday night on SmackDown Live.
Maria hasn't been seen on WWE screens since 2010. Working for Ring Of Honor and Impact Wrestling ever since, the former TNA Knockouts Champion and her hubby had been expected to sign a new deal with Impact over the next few months.
Now, it appears that deal is off the table, because Kanellis and Bennett's preferred destination is WWE.
In interviews since departing WWE, Maria had always been open about personal issues between The Bella Twins and herself. Either those problems have been put behind the women or Nikki and Brie don't have the pull to block Kanellis from re-entering the company.
Mike Bennett has been on WWE's radar for a while now, and he'd be a fine addition to the SmackDown roster. The power couple vibe he and Maria give off would fill the void left by The Miz and Maryse on the blue brand.
