The Demon King returns to the road for house show action.

Since undergoing surgery due to an injury suffered at this past SummerSlam, Finn Balor has been missing in action from a Raw roster that has sorely needed the additional star power.

Although the timetable for his return has remained fluid, it was believed that he'd be back on a full schedule no later than WrestleMania, with a bit of optimism sprinkled in that he could be a surprise entrant for the Royal Rumble.

As we now know the Rumble was a no-go. Balor made his in-ring return at a house show on March 10th, where the Irish superstar partnered with Chris Jericho and Sami Zayn to defeat Kevin Owens, Samoa Joe and Triple H.

There's still no word on when "The Demon King" will reemerge on WWE television, with either WrestleMania 33 or the following Raw being the two most likely scenarios.

This weekend Finn Balor resumes touring, working live events with the red brand to dust off any potential ring rust in preparation for his imminent return to Raw.

Where he fits in once back onscreen is anyone's guess, but there are several possibilities. He could turn heel and align himself with Triple H's stable of former NXT champions, or conversely he could side with Seth Rollins, the man who sidelined him at SummerSlam, to battle Hunter and his goons.

A return to the Universal championship picture also makes a lot of sense, and with Brock Lesnar expected to leave WrestleMania with the title, the thought of the beast vs. the demon is extremely enticing.

Until WWE decides when to bring him back, fans will have to settle for seeing him in action at a non-televised house show.
