Former WWE Diva Kelly Kelly In New Reality Show Called "WAGS"

It's called "WAGS" and debuts August 18 on E Network.

Former WWE diva Kelly Kelly is starring in a new reality show on E Network called "WAGS" (Wives and Girlfriends of Sports Stars), which was announced by E Network today. Kelly will be using her real name Barbie Blank on the show. WAGS focuses, as you might suspect, on women who are wives, fiancees or girlfriends of athletes. Blank is engaged to former NHL player Sheldon Souray and they are getting married in January 2016. Here's more info from a press release:

E! takes a wild ride into the world of some of today€™s hottest professional athletes from the perspective of the women who stand by their side, otherwise known as WAGS (Wives and Girlfriends of Sports Stars). These WAGS are playing the most competitive sport out there: getting and keeping that pro-athlete man. As part of an elite, exclusive group, the WAGS are close friends who are bound together by a strict hierarchy, unspoken rules and plenty of drama €“ and those who have the coveted ring and a husband with a contract are the ones with all the power! As in sports, this game is all about getting that €œW€ and this pack knows how to play the field€ Jump into the competitive, fast-paced, glamorous world of €œWAGS€ when the new series premieres on E! Tuesday, August 18th at 10:00pm ET/PT.
Here's what it says about Blank:
Barbie is engaged to Sheldon Souray (most recently of the Anaheim Ducks) and the two are actively planning their January 2016 wedding in Cabo! Barbie is a former WWE Diva known as €œKelly Kelly,€ who made her debut at only 19 years old. She performed from 2006-2012, which included being the Diva€™s Champion in 2011. As a former athlete herself, she€™s not a €œtypical€ WAG, but with the pending wedding, Barbie is very excited to move up the hierarchy chain and legitimize her WAG status.
The other women featured on the show are Sasha Gates, Autumn Ajirotutu, Ashley North, Nicole Williams, Natalie Halcro and Olivia Pierson.
As mentioned in the press release, Blank started in WWE at age 19. What it didn't mention is that she started out as an exhibitionist that enjoyed taking off her clothes on the ECW brand and then evolved as a wrestler. She won her first and only Divas Title in 2011 from Brie Bella due to winning a fan vote. She held the title for about three months while spending her entire career as a babyface because she had the look of the typical All-American girl. She left WWE in 2012 at the age of 25, which makes her one of the youngest wrestlers to ever retire from the business. Some people don't even get into the business until that age, yet she chose to walk away. Part of the reason is because she is engaged to Souray, who made millions during his 15 year NHL career. The couple was engaged in August 2014. What's noteworthy about WAGS is that it debuts on Tuesday August 18 at 10pmET, which means that it follows WWE's Total Divas also on E Network at 9pmET.
