Former WWE Star Chavo Guerrero Is New Comic Superhero

Warrior's Creed will see Chavo battling crime.

Chavo Guerrero is to be the new lead superhero in a series of comics called Warrior's Creed. Published by Lion Forge Comics, Chavo's battle against crime will be scripted by Deadpool co-creator Fabian Nicieza alongside artwork from Eddie Nunez. The jump from being a wrestler to comic book superhero is an unexpected career move for Guerrero. He has been transformed from a cruiserweight wrestler to what looks like a Mexican version of The Hulk. In the Warrior's Creed storyline he will fight a criminal gang, who have used the Guerrero DNA to create an army of super criminals. The secrets of this DNA will also give Chavo unstoppable powers. Despite his successes in WCW, WWE and TNA, few of us ever really imagined Chavo as a superhero. He was a midcard wrestler at best, a man with a normal body. To see him transformed as a muscle bound hero is kind of funny. One thing that was unquestionable about Chavo though was his in-ring ability. He's one of the finest wrestlers of his generation. Will he now find success as a comic superhero? He remains very popular with the hispanic audience, so you'd expect Warrior's Creed will do particularly well with that demographic. The Guerrero name holds a lot of worth with those fans. Comic book fans will also be attracted to the series for its impressive artwork and script by Deadpool writer Fabian Nicieza. Chavo Guerrero's comic career might just take off. You can purchase Warrior's Creed this autumn through the Amazon Kindle Bookstore and Comics Plus app for iOS and Android devices. The entire series run will then be available from Lion Forge's print-partnership with IDW Publishing.
