Has Neville Really Left WWE?

It was reported over the weekend that Neville's long-term WWE freeze had finally reached its conclusion, not with a thaw in relations but a big block of ice crashing directly in the Atlantic Ocean (metaphorically speaking).
Pro Wrestling Sheet broke the news that the 32-year old Brit had at last been granted his release by the company, with the high-flyer said to "not be tied down to a deal at this moment." It was understood he was currently residing back in his native UK with his family.
Most intriguing, then, is a story uncovered by PWInsider over the weekend that Neville was spotted in Pittsburgh, PA last week. The city is where WWE superstars undergo medical testing, raising the question of why the Geordie, presumed to be on the other side of the ocean, was there.
Obviously, there are any number of reasons why Neville may have been in Pittsburgh last week, but the timing is certainly interesting. As WWE looks to get NXT UK off the ground, it wouldn't be at all surprising if the affair is a massive ruse designed to spring a surprise when the show launches. Watch this space.
