Has WWE's Wellness Policy Changed?

The Wrestling Observer are reporting that WWE's Substance Abuse and Drug Testing Policy (known more commonly as the Wellness Policy) has undergone a change.

Previously, the company were obligated by their own rules to publicly disclose the names of all wrestlers on the payroll who had violated the policy and reveal how long they'd be suspended for. According to Dave Meltzer, that no longer applies to NXT stars or "other developmental talent".

This is a clear contradiction of what's written in WWE's own Substance Abuse Policy. There, WWE say "it (the Policy) may be amended from time to time, is applicable to and binding upon all WWE Talent under contract to WWE who regularly perform in-ring services as a professional sports entertainer ("WWE Talent")".

"All talent" would take into account those hired to work on NXT and at house shows, as well as performers training at the Performance Center.

Meltzer is basing his report on the fact Adam Rose's first suspension (from 2013) was never mentioned by WWE when they again suspended him for a further 30 days in 2016. If the promotion were disclosing developmental violations, Rose's prior charge would have been mentioned.
