The Wrestling Observer has reported the earliest possible timeframe for Drew McIntyre's WWE return.

It was reported earlier this week that the reigning WWE Champion had tested positive for COVID-19. Now, after crunching the numbers and doing some research, Dave Meltzer has revealed exactly when McIntyre will show back up on Raw.

Provided they show no other symptoms and don't get sick again, wrestlers are allowed to return between 10-14 days after a positive test. The official CDC (Centres For Disease Control & Prevention) website advises that those affected take a full two weeks to quarantine, but say 10 days is acceptable in some cases too.

This means that Drew should be back for the 25 January edition of Raw. That'd give WWE the chance to book some last-minute in-person build for his match with Goldberg at the 2021 Royal Rumble six nights later - Meltzer confirmed that WWE remain confident the pay-per-view's big title bout will still happen.

It's not ideal, but one more show of proper build is better than nothing.
