Hulk Hogan Hosting WWE Raw Dec 22; Edge & Christian Dec 29

The Hulkster is back and so are Edge & Christian!

The ongoing theme of Raw post Survivor Series has been a different person running the show every week now that The Authority is out of power. Last week's show had Seth Green as the host of the Slammys although WWE never really said if he was in charge of it or was just the host. It didn't matter because the matches were short and it was considered a bad show. Moving forward, WWE has plans to have guest hosts for the final three editions of Raw. According to PWinsider, they have figured out who the hosts on the final three episodes of Raw will be. December 15 in Detroit: Chris Jericho. We knew this from Raw on Monday when it was announced during the show. Jericho could wrestle on the show although usually the host is just there to deliver promos, do backstage segments and set up matches. December 22 in Minneapolis: Hulk Hogan. It's been a couple of months since we saw Hogan, so it makes sense that WWE would make him the guest host for the show that takes place a few days before Christmas. It probably won't be a serious show since it's Christmas week. December 29 in Washington, DC: Edge & Christian. This one is pretty cool because they are a favorite tag team for a lot of fans and they did a great job of hosting the Smackdown special on WWE Network in October. Edge retired from action over three years while Christian isn't officially retired although putting him in this role might mean he's done wrestling. Brock Lesnar's schedule has been released and he's scheduled for the shows on December 15 and December 29. No guarantee that WWE will advertise those on television, though. An interesting note about that December 29 show in Washington, DC is that WWE also scheduled a live event in Richmond, VA that night so there are probably going to be 30 wrestlers or so that aren't at Raw. It's that far of a drive, so somebody could work the opener in Richmond and drive to Washington before the three hour Raw is done, but it's not necessary. WWE could still do a show without that many people. The roster is certainly deep enough. It could just mean longer matches. The person in charge storyline is overdone by WWE and they make it seem like too big of a deal, but if they are going to bring back Hall of Fame caliber wrestlers to do it then there's really nothing wrong with that. Fans are going to like watching these guys in these roles for one night. It seems like WWE is content without having a permanent GM for Raw or Smackdown. If that changes, we'll let you know.
