At live house shows this week the WWE debuted new stage sets and PWInsider have provided us with several photos from a SmackDown event in Detroit, Michigan;
Reports from the house show stated that the arena was only about 70% full for the event and the last photo above certainly backs up that statement. This was also the event where the WWE were offering full refunds to those fans who were disgruntled by the absence of the previously advertised marquee star Randy Orton from the show after being pulled because of a severe back injury.
The Street Fight matches against Wade Barrett were instead fought by Sheamus who was a replacement for Randy Orton. Sheamus had been wrestling on house shows and on pay-per-views in a programme with Christian before his recent injury and as a character hasn’t been going anywhere fast in storylines since, so this was the smart move.
