Impact Wrestling Oct 13th - Bound For Glory Go Home Show

It’s the go home show before Bound For Glory which means its their last time to sell their big PPV!

iMPACT WrestlingOctober 13th 2011 It€™s the go home show before Bound For Glory which means its their last time to sell the show! And in an interview this week Hulk Hogan completely buried Robert Roode as a credible main eventer by saying he doesn€™t think hes the guy, and that Angle should €œCarry€ him to a good match nonetheless. Way to bury your own main event Hulk. Speaking of the main event, Kurt Angle, the defending champion is first out tonight and calls out his challenger Robert Roode right away. €œNext World Champ€ chant. Kurt says he booked the matches the past few weeks to try and break him down. Angle congratulates him for winning them, but reminds him he€™s the greatest wrestler ever and he€™ll prove it at BFG. Then he extends a hand. Roode decides not to shake though and takes a mic. Roode says it€™s the man with the bigger heart who will survive. He wants to see who has the heart to take TNA to the next level. He proposes no Immortal, no Fortune, just Roode vs. Angle for the World Title. Kurt agrees. They shake. Angle leaves€. No he doesn€™t. He stops to tell Roode that tonight he has another tune up match. Against Gunner and Jeff Jarrett in a Handicap Match. Backstage Daniels and Jerry Lynn are brawling with Styles and RVD, but we need to cut to a break! Daniels and Jerry Lynn vs. AJ Styles and RVD When we€™re back, they fight down the ramp without RVD, but hes not long running out and joining the fray. IN the ring RVD and Styles isolate Daniels and he takes a Monkey Flip from Rob and big jumping knee from Styles. Styles tags out and takes the opportunity to remove his pyjama bottoms to wrestle in his ring gear. Lynn pulls RVD by the leg and then chokes him on the outside. This allows Daniels and Lynn (both wearing Red) to take over. RVD tries a split leg moonsault but Lynn knees him in the gut. It amazes me how well Jerry Lynn can still go these days. RVD manages a roll and a tag to Styles. Backbreaker/Gut buster combo on Daniels. Springboard Reverse DDT is blocked, Daniels rolls through, tags Lynn. AJ€™s picture perfect dropkick to Lynn. RVD comes in and slingshots to the outside onto Daniels. Lynn goes to the outside after RVD and Styles cant resist a rope flip Senton onto all three on the floor! Back in the ring he springboard clotheslines Daniels. Styles Clash reversed, Daniels throws Lynn into AJ who gives him a Pele! He begs Daniels to come in at him, Daniels backs away, Styles Clash on Jerry Lynn! One€Two€Three! Samoa Joe vs. Matt Morgan Matt Morgan has one of the better TNA Themes. Probably because he doesn€™t perform it. Take note Jeff Hardy/Mickie James. Not surprisingly it€™s a slug fest to begin with. Morgan gets his multiple reverse elbows in the corner but gets dropped to the buckle when he charges again. Joe doesn€™t miss his, and follows up with a Pele. Joe has him on the top rope, but he fights off, jumps over Joe, rolls him up and€it€™s three. Out of nowhere. Not unreasonably, Joe is upset after the bell. So he takes it right to Matt€™s leg. He puts him in a Figure 4. This brings out Crimson, who is limping but still manages to get the better of Joe with a steel chair. He€™s also wearing a big metal walking boot. Joe gets on the mic and calls them out for helping each other. Joe offers a three way for BFG. Mexican America are in the ring calling Ink Inc Mohawk bitches. They call them out to do it €œMexican Prison Style.€ Which includes holding their pockets and pimping them out. And here come the wrestling worlds biggest attention seekers with mics. Ink Inc are all like €œDon€™t you guys live here?€ And the crowd are all like €œUSA! USA!€ Anyone wanna bet that Anarquia never got a tattoo from Shannon Moore during that beat down in the tattoo shop? Shannon takes the mic and tells them to get out. Which starts a brawl. Rosita and Sarita get involved, which brings out a tattooed, mohawked LADY to take them down. She helps Ink Inc turn the tide and they all stand tall. They threaten to show Anarquia new tattoo, but he gets pulled out just in time. Ink Inc tells them to bring all the ladies they want, cause they€™ve got theirs. Brian Kendrick & Jesse Sorensen vs. Kid Kash & Austin Aries Kash and Aries sure look like two guys who would get along. Kendrick and Jesse jump out on them before the bell then it goes into the ring. Jesse€™s nice neck breaker gets a two but almost right away he falls victim to some double teaming. Kash with a great release suplex on Jesse. Catapults him into Aries fist, then Aries springboards over on top of Jesse for a two. Kash to the middle rope, motions for a moonsault but Jesse gets the knees up. Jesse manages a tag to Brian who, of course, is on fire. Heel kicks for everyone! Goes for Sliced Bread on both men but gets shoved into the buckle. But now Aries and Kash are having problems. Sorensen takes a bit long charging on Aries, it looks awkward for a minute, then he finally does, Aries moves and he flies into Kash and to the outside. The ref checks on them, Aries grabs the belt. Kendrick avoids it and manages to hit Sliced Bread on top of the belt for a three! Backstage, Tracy Brooks and Karen Jarrett are on their way to the ring. Disperse those pigeons, it€™s Velvet Sky time! And unfortunately, Hardcore Country time. Let the entrance music loose. And now here comes Winter and Angelina Love. Karen Jarrett is next out with her entrance theme that sounds like Jeff€™s theme mixed with Aerosmith€™s Rag Doll. She also has Brooks and Madison Rayne with her. Karen claims she had to fight to get them on the BFG card because no one wanted them. She mocks Velvet who wants to know what the problem is. Madison and Velvet have a shriek at each other. Karen tells her she€™ll tell her when its over between them. Karen claims to be what every woman wants to be and what every man wants to see. You know, like Sable. She says Velvet draws scum of the earth. €œI€™m a role model for the female race.€ Race? You mean gender. Velvet tells her there will be a time when she respects her because she will be the next Knockout Champion. Karen says, over her dead body, while Tracy kneels down behind her. Karen takes the inevitable tumble over her and all the other ladies get into a fight. Mickie ejects Angelina. Security runs back in and breaks them all up as Karen tells Brooks shes going to be scrubbing toilets. AJ Styles is talking to the cameras about Daniels but gets attacked from behind by him. Daniels takes him out and gives him a slap in the chops. Scott Steiner vs. Mr AndersonSpecial Enforcer: Bully Ray Anderson is from Green Bay, Wisconsin. He thought you€™d like to know that. Ray immediately draws attention and Steiner takes advantage. Steiner keeps the advantage from the bell for quite a while with clotheslines and belly suplexes. Anderson tries to take over but gets dragged outside by Ray. When he gets back in Steiner gives him a low blow RIGHT in front of the ref. And gets away with it. Atomic Drop. And now Abyss is at ringside. He gets in the ring with Bully€™s chain. Steiner holds Anderson for him, Anderson moves, Abyss hits Steiner instead. Still no disqualification though the ref is watching. Anderson covers Steiner, one, two, three! The rest of Immortal hit the ring and get in Abyss face who has a bit too much and grabs Ray by the throat. Everyone jumps him. They get a table in there and when Anderson tries to help Abyss he takes a Bubba Bomb through the table! Backstage Kurt walks in on James Storm and tries to get in his head about getting involved last week. Elsewhere, Jeff Jarrett is talking about this handicap match. Gunner nods. Tazz and Tenay run down the BFG Card for this Sunday. Handicap MatchGunner and Jeff Jarrett vs. Robert Roode Roode lifts a chair but the ref takes it away. It however lets him get the jump on Immortal and throw Jarrett out. He isolates Gunner but the numbers are too much and Jarrett is back in and the double team is on. After a double suplex, Jarrett and Gunner mock the Beer Money trademark. They take too much time and Roode is infuriated and FIRES up. He takes them both out with clotheslines and a block buster for Jarrett. Roode counters the Stroke with a spine buster and sticks Jarrett in the Cross face! Gunner charges in, but he senses him coming and sticks GUNNER in the cross face. Gunner taps! Actually GREAT booking from TNA to let Robert Roode beat both men. I never would have expected them to do that. The rest of Immortal charge to the ring and take over on Roode, which brings out Storm. He puts up a fight but they€™re still outnumbered 4-2. Kurt Angle comes out to make it five but before he can attack, JEFF HARDY makes himself known and charges. And of course, Jeff Hardy takes out Immortal by himself. Because he€™s the TNA Golden Boy. Hardy offers Beer Money a handshake. Storm is reluctant. Roode shakes. Jeff goes to leave, Storm gets in his way and shakes his head. Then Beer Money both raise Jeff Hardy€™s hand. When we come back Jeff Hardy is telling us he just saved the next champion. Jarrett walks up and tells him it aint about Victory Road. Jarrett says hes been there ever since Jeff joined TNA. Jarrett tells him he is out of chances. Hes not walking back in. Jarrett tells Hardy not to step foot at Bound For Glory. Jarrett tells him not to walk away. €œIm going to buy my ticket for Bound For Glory FLOUNDA!€ €What? And now it€™s the moment we€™ve all been waiting for. Hogan and Sting contract signing yo! Sting comes out wearing a Hogan t shirt. Borash will be presiding over this. He gives it to Hogan to sign first. He ignores it, so Sting signs it first. Borash slides it back Hogan€™s way. Hulk signs to a loud €œHogan Sucks€ chant and Borash announces it as official. He offers final words. Both seem reluctant. Hogan stands up and flips over the table. Hogan accuses him of hiding from him until he was at peace with his career. Hogan says its gunna be one on one, only one man leaves brother. This brings out Eric Bischoff. Hes not happy that Sting laid hands on him and he distracts Sting, allowing Hogan to chair him from behind. Hogan throws some punches that just make me hope they let Roode and Angle go on last. Hogan chokes Sting as we go off the air for Impact! Well. Hogan and Sting might be big names, but they REALLY shouldn€™t be the main event this Sunday. Hogan said in the same interview where he buried Roode that Angle was going on last so I hope he keeps to his word. In all, Bound For Glory hasn€™t had a terrible build up. I€™ve seen TNA do worse. At least Robert Roode goes in strong. And even if Hogan/Sting stink the place up, I€™ve got faith that RVD and Jerry Lynn will have a good match, as will Styles and Daniels.
