IMPACT Wrestling's Slammiversary pay-per-view is officially scheduled for Saturday, 17 July, as had been initially reported by PWInsider's Mike Johnson.

IMPACT themselves confirmed the news on their Twitter prior to last night's IMPACT on AXS TV episode, posting the same trailer that was aired during their Rebellion pay-per-view last month. Again, the likes of Chelsea Green, Samoa Joe, Mickie James, Andrade, and the IIconics were all teased. As WWE Black Thursday releases, their 90-day no-compete clauses run out the week of Slammiversary.

It should be noted that a handful of Japanese names were also teased from the two Japanese promotions that have working relationships with IMPACT; New Japan Pro Wrestling and Pro Wrestling NOAH, with Kazuchika Okada, Tetsuya Naito, and SANADA representing New Japan in the vignette, while the Great Muta - the reigning GHC Heavyweight Champion - was teased from NOAH.

Last year saw IMPACT use a similar tactic to build hype for their summer pay-per-view by teasing the Black Wednesday releases. In total, the Good Brothers, EC3, Eric Young, and Heath all showed up, while Rich Swann also returned from injury, and the Motor City Machine Guns reunited for the first time in years.

Nashville will be the host city, most likely at the empty Skyway Studios.
