Earlier this week, news broke that both Matt and Nick Jackson, who comprise popular independent wrestling tag team The Young Bucks, were injured and would need an unspecified amount of time off to recover.

Now, thanks to an update from Matt, a better picture has emerged regarding the extent of their injuries, along with the news that both men should be back in action within four to six weeks.

Both of The Young Bucks were injured on May 11's ROH/New Japan joint show in Toronto. Teaming with Kenny Omega to defend the NEVER Openweight Six-Man Tag Team Titles against Hiroshi Tanahashi, Michael Elgin, and Yoshitatsu, Nick suffered broken ribs, while Matt ended up with a broken hand. Nick was immediately pulled from action, but Matt competed at the New York show on May 14 before ultimately deciding to take time off.

Matt and Nick have both been pulled from New Japan's Best of the Super Juniors round robin tournament, which will kick off this Saturday at Tokyo's Korakuen Hall. On Thursday, New Japan announced the replacements for both men - filling in for Nick will be three-time NWA World Junior Heavyweight Champion Chase Owens, while Matt will be replaced by NJPW young lion David Finlay, Jr.
