Jim Ross' Next Wrestling Project Revealed

JR to serve as face of company's FITE TV app; more commentary to follow?

Just weeks after signing a deal with AXS TV to serve at the lead announcer for the network's weekly New Japan Pro Wrestling program, Jim Ross's next career move has been revealed - and it may very well lead to more commentary work for the legendary play-by-play man. Ross has signed with Flipps Media to serve as the public face of the company's new FITE TV online service. Available on most smart TVs and streaming/mobile devices, FITE TV serves as a portal to allow viewers to order select pro wrestling, MMA, and boxing events. Currently, several of the country's most popular wrestling organizations offer content through the app, including ROH, EVOLVE, and TNA. Though the full extent of Ross's involvement with Flipps remains unknown, the broadcaster has already hinted that he will be lending his voice to videos. Touting his own "special commentaries" on wrestling, MMA, and other combat sports as incentive to sign up, Ross has surely grabbed the interest of many fans. While only time will tell to which of FITE's free or paid videos Ross lends his voice, the idea of J.R. calling Ring of Honor or EVOLVE Pay-Per-View action seems too good for programmers or customers to pass up. Ross, describing himself as "personally invested" in FITE TV, will also be taking on a role in the brand's social media campaign.
