Jimmy Snuka Added To WrestleCon Over WrestleMania 33 Weekend

Too unfit for trial, perfectly fit for a meet and greet.

In one of the year’s most questionable wrestling stories so far, Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka has been added to the lineup at the popular WrestleCon event during WrestleMania weekend in 2017.

This is surprising news, as the WWE Hall of Famer was recently deemed mentally incompetent to stand trial for the murder of his ex-girlfriend Nancy Argentino in 1983.

However, over nine months from now he will apparently be mentally competent enough to sign autographs, and take photos with fans.

Snuka and his family have been very vocal about his money troubles over the years, so it’s not hard to see why he’s still trying to benefit off of his fame whenever possible. However, this situation is quite shady to say the least. Enough evidence has come forward over the years (and was initially overlooked) to build a compelling case against his original story that Argentino slipped and hit her head on a rock, which later caused her death that night.

The 73-year-old has essentially been forgotten in WWE lore since his arrest last year, and that’s likely to remain the same for some time to come. The publicity for this story is bound to get more interesting as the event draws closer, but it may not be the kind that WrestleCon should be seeking.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
