John Cena Breaks Kayfabe And Looks Silly In Tweet To Triple H

Triple H just "fired" Cena's buddies on Raw... it looks like Cena doesn't care.

John Cena has used Twitter to congratulate Triple H on being entered into the International Sports Hall Of Fame. This is in the same week that Triple H fired all of John Cena's friends from Monday Night Raw. It is a quite notable breaking of kayfabe. Cena usually tweets in character and is primarily followed by women and children. Many of his "Cenation" are under the illusion that Cena is involved in a bitter personal feud with Triple H. Which is what makes this tweet just a little awkward, "Congrats to @TripleH for his induction into the 2015 Int'l Hall of Fame. Well deserved for a career of hard work and excellence." It's kind of funny to see Cena on television hating what Triple H stands for, yet here praising the same man for hard work and excellence. Cena's young fans are going to be a little confused. The Internet Wrestling Community used the story to jump all over Cena. There was a big movement over the weekend to criticise the WWE star for his breaking of Kayfabe. The heat was so hot that Cena actually felt compelled to reply - "It is never out of context to recognize the accomplishments of a rival. There is passion, there is also respect. Understand the difference." The fact he did reply is pretty much an admission of error. He felt he needed to explain himself. Even in this day and age, a guy like Cena should be protecting his character, especially when there's so many kids following him. Cena should've congratulated Triple H in private backstage. This tweet was wholly unnecessary.
