John Cena Injury Surgery Is A Success [Photos]

Thumbs up from the surgeon!

John Cena has undergone successful surgery on his injured shoulder. WWE.com confirmed the news on their website, in addition to posting a photo of a positive looking Cena. His rehab and recovery begins now, in what the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported as a six to nine month layoff. In the past he has demonstrated unusually quick recovery times, so there's always a possibility he makes it back even quicker. However, now at thirty eight years of age, chances are he'll find this injury that much harder to bounce back from. WWE are booking WrestleMania on the understanding that he won't be available. Accompanying the Cena story on wwe.com were a series of photos, revealing that Cesaro came to visit Cena in the hospital. Both men are firm friends, and Cesaro is also sidelined with a shoulder injury. A common passion they both have is heavy weightlifting, and it is suspected that may have been a factor in their injuries. For the future, WWE should perhaps look at clauses in contracts, in hope of better protecting their investments. While gym work is essential for maintaining a WWE look, many wrestlers work out in a way that isn't beneficial to athletic performance. Olympic style weight lifting is completely unnecessary for wrestlers like John Cena. Regardless, Cena is now on the mend. More details as and when they become available.
