John Cena Reveals Crucial Advice Vince McMahon Gave Him In WWE
Vince McMahon had some wise words for John Cena during the peak of his WWE career.
'Envelope: The Actor's Podcast' recently asked John Cena if he had any advice for aspiring young actors.
The former multi-time WWE Champ admitted that he "hates giving advice because everyone's got to find their own path", but then brought up some sage words Vince McMahon told him many moons ago. According to Cena, that remains the "best advice [he's] ever been given".
McMahon looked JC in the eye during the peak of his WWE powers and said the following:
"Give your all to what you do. Promote to the absolute utmost and don’t leave anything on the table. Then move forward. If you give it your all, you’ll find a taker. You’ll find what you can do better next time".
Those words helped Cena immensely during his full-time pro wrestling career, and they've been invaluable since he traded daily WWE life for Hollywood. John spoke passionately on the pod about making the most of small opportunities - that's something he also learned from his old boss.
Capitalising on small successes can lead to bigger ones down the road. Cena puts that into practice now he's acting.
