Kane To Return On WWE Raw Brand As A Heel Before Royal Rumble

PWInsider reports that Kane is expected to be on the RAW brand when he makes his return in January and that he will wrestle as a heel. Kane is currently scheduled to return in time for the Royal Rumble, perhaps even making a return as an entry in the main event itself. Additionally, reports from within the WWE is that officials have not yet decided as to whether Kane will return with or without his mask. WWE officials have purposefully made the return promo's that have been airing on RAW in recent weeks ambiguous so that it wouldn't be clear if he would be back with his mask or not, probably so that they can gauge reaction from fans. It has also been said that they wanted to make sure Kane's mask was in the promo's so that audiences would instantly recongise and be under no illusion that they were hyping up the promo for Kane's return. Certainly the question as to whether Kane should return with his mask for the first time since 2003 has been much speculated across the web with many for and against the idea. Glenn Jacobs, the wrestler behind the mask is definitely more agile and a better wrestler without the mask on which was a nuisance in his first years as the character but the Kane character was more powerful with a mask and was more popular. One thing is for sure, if he does return with his mask, Jacobs will have to wear a wig otherwise he will look particularly goofy.
