Kevin Nash Defends Hulk Hogan Amid Racism Allegations

Also NWO merchandise no longer sold by WWE.

WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash, who was one of the founders of the New World Order with Hulk Hogan, came to the defense of the Hulkster on Twitter after WWE fired Hogan this past Friday due to racist remarks that Hogan reportedly made on a tape in 2006. Here are the three tweets that Nash sent out on Monday: https://twitter.com/RealKevinNash/status/625521816677810176 https://twitter.com/RealKevinNash/status/625528031176708096 https://twitter.com/RealKevinNash/status/625565432150425600 There's no denying that Nash knows Hogan well since they made history together with the New World Order in WCW in 1996. He mentioned he's known Hogan for 23 years and is probably one of his closest friends. It's good for Hogan to have people like Nash or others that know him well to speak positively about him. His suggestion that the tapes could be edited is a bit questionable, but there's nothing wrong with a friend sticking up for his buddy. Whether Nash is aware of it or not, WWE has also pulled NWO merchandise from WWEShop.com just like they have pulled Hulk Hogan merchandise. Nash likely got some money from the NWO merchandise since he was a founding father of the group, but now that's gone. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WhS4ZDnRqJQ Their most famous moment together other than the NWO forming might be the "Fingerpoke of Doom" match on Nitro on January 4, 1999 when Hogan beat Nash with a fingerpoke leading to another formation of the NWO. That took place at the same time as Mick Foley's first ever WWE Title win on Raw, which was taped a week earlier. It was a huge momentum changer for WWE during the Monday night wars. Most recently, Nash and Hogan have been together on WWE TV whenever they do reunion type shows and also at WrestleMania 31 when they came to Sting's aid during his match against Triple H.
