Kevin Owens Is Bret Hart's Favourite Wrestler Today

The best there was laying heavy praise on what he sees as the best there currently is...

Kevin Owens is WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart's favourite wrestler in the business today. The former WWE Champion was speaking during a Q&A with Off The Record's Periscope account, where he was asked who his favourite heel currently working in the ring was. The Hitman replied: He's (Kevin Owens) one of my favourites, period! "He's very good. He's a Canadian guy and he's a really hard working wrestler." The former NXT Champions has made a considerable splash on the main roster since 'stepping up' to make his unannounced debut as part of the John Cena US Open Challenge in May. He's been involved in the upper echelons of the card since and even gained a clean win against Cena on his in-ring debut at Elimination Chamber. Although, not everyone in the power positions in WWE seems sold on him with a big deal being made about his weight. It's a subject that has been referenced numerous times during televised events and something that just won't go away. There shouldn't be a problem, there's room for a stockier man to be at the top of the roster, but at the end of the day KO has a unique look that is far from the stereotypical chiselled body builder look that Vince McMahon desires. This isn't a problem for Hart though, who compared the former Ring of Honour man to a 'brick house': "He looks like a wrestler," Bret said. "I've heard some people say they don't like that he's kind of heavy. He's a big, solid looking guy, I wouldn't say that he's a fat guy at all. When I think of fat, I think of fat, fat! "He looks like a brick-house, like he looks solid as a rock, and he moves like a 100-pounder. He's doing stuff that no big man ever dreamed of doing that I've ever seen, even some of the great big men like Bam Bam Bigelow. "There's been a lot of big men that were really agile and quick and had a lot of wrestling skills and stuff like that, but Kevin Owens is, to me, my number one favourite wrestler in wrestling right now."
