KO could be at Full Sail University this Wednesday night.

Kevin Owens was "fired" from WWE SmackDown last week, with Shane McMahon disposing of KO after his rival had accepted his tap-out during a King of the Ring semi-finals bout with Chad Gable, sparking the former Commissioner's rage.

Now, it looks like we know where Owens will land after seemingly leaving Team Blue - at least for now.

Per PWInsider's Mike Johnson, KO is expected to make an appearance on this week's episode of NXT, which happens to be the black and gold brand's first two-hour episode, with the first 60 minutes airing on USA Network and the closing half going down on the WWE Network.

There's currently no word on what kind of role Owens might play or how long his developmental return will last, though the former 'Prizefighter' tweeted the following last week:-

N is the 14th letter in the alphabet, X the 24th, and T the 20th. Very good.

Owens has significant NXT pedigree, having captured the NXT Championship from Sami Zayn at TakeOver: Rival back in February 2015, holding it until Finn Balor dethroned him in Japan that July. Though far from the belt's longest reign, his was an impactful one, and it'll be great to see him back on NXT this week.
