Zack Ryder Gets Huge WrestleMania 32 Match!!!

Kevin Owens will defend his IC title against six opponents in WrestleMania ladder match.

After weeks of speculation, WWE Intercontinental Champion Kevin Owens finally has an official opponent announced for WrestleMania 32. Well, make that six of them. It was made official Monday night during RAW that Owens will defend his belt in a ladder match against The Miz, Dolph Ziggler, Sami Zayn, Sin Cara, ZACK RYDER (!), and Stardust in Dallas on April 3rd. Zack Ryder's inclusion is quite remarkable. He last appeared on PPV some 14 months ago as part of 30 competitors in the WWE Royal Rumble 2015 match. In fact, if you discount battle royals... his last PPV match was over THREE AND A HALF YEARS AGO at Night Of Champions 2012 when he lost to Cesaro in a U.S. title match. Incredible. Sami Zayn, Miz, and Ziggler each appeared early during RAW proclaiming that they wanted a shot at the Intercontinental strap. It was then announced that a triple threat match would happen later in the show where the winner would be granted the shot versus Owens at WrestleMania. Kevin Owens came to the ring later on during RAW to introduce the participants, but he swerved the crowd and announced Sin Cara, Ryder and Stardust instead of the expected trio of Miz, Ziggler, and Zayn. Owens was then ringside for the match and eventually the other three men made their way down to ringside as well. Owens ended up pushing Ryder into Zayn, and the match ended in a no contest. Following the end of the bout, Owens was attacked by all six men. https://twitter.com/WWE/status/712099162746068992 Owens later appeared in the back with Stephanie McMahon, interrupting a phone call she was on. Owens was angry about what had happened to him, getting attacked by six men. She then announced Owens would defend against all of them at WrestleMania, and she made it a ladder match due to Owens talking about a "ladder to success" earlier in the show. The WWE Intercontinental Title was also decided in a ladder match at last year's WrestleMania; a bout that was won by Daniel Bryan.
