Killian Dain To Feature In Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal

Can Strowman survive the SAnitY?

It's been a big weekend for WCPW champions, past and present. Hot off the heels of the announcement that Drew Galloway has returned to WWE on the NXT brand, it was revealed ahead of WrestleMania 33 that Killian 'Big Damo' Dain has been drafted into the pre-show Andre the Giant Memorial battle royal alongside fellow NXT colleague Tian Bing.

Whilst the latter's inclusion smacks more of a desperate commerical grap as WWE tries to appeal to a Chinese audience set to receive WrestleMania live for the first time ever (sorry Tian), Dain's inclusion is more obviously grounded in good booking sense. The Belfast behemoth has been impressive in the SAnitY stable since his Full Sail debut, and a man of his considerable physical stature is just the sort of chap WWE needs to provide some realistic competition to the similarly-outsized Braun Strowman, or to put the underdog hero Sami Zayn over.

As a friend of these parts and a bloody great WCPW champion, kudos to the 'Hound of Ulster', and we wish him all the best on his first WrestleMania appearance!

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
