Kofi Kingston Added To WWE Elimination Chamber 2019 Match

The WWE veteran stole the show on SmackDown Live.

Kofi Kingston has been added into the Elimination Chamber match for the WWE Championship this Sunday, replacing the injured Mustafa Ali.

Kingston put in an amazing performance on last night's episode of SmackDown Live, competing in a gauntlet match as the chosen member from The New Day to replace Mustafa Ali on Sunday's pay-per-view.

The WWE veteran stole the show by defeating current WWE Champion Daniel Bryan, Jeff Hardy, and Samoa Joe before being submitted by AJ Styles, who subsequently lost to Randy Orton.

The gauntlet match was to determine the #6 entrant in the Chamber, but all anyone could talk about following the show was Kingston's performance; wrestling for nearly an hour and beating some of the best in the business.

11 years after he debuted on ECW, Kofi reminded fans just how good a singles competitor he is, and many are hoping for a world championship reign (something he's never managed in a highly successful career) as a result.

In other Elimination Chamber news, WWE have revealed that Sasha Banks re-aggravated her shoulder injury during a match on Monday Night Raw this week, but she is still scheduled to compete on Sunday despite having not wrestled since the Royal Rumble. Nevertheless, Banks remained confident of competing for the Women's Tag Team Titles, tweeting:-
