When you think of Kofi Kingston, what comes to mind? Chances are it will be the impressive feats of athleticism that have become his trademark during his nine years in World Wrestling Entertainment. In that time Kofi has wowed us with his astonishing acrobatics in a variety of gimmick matches, most notably in avoiding elimination from battle royals.

Maybe you'll think of his secondary title reigns instead, or the fact that he never quite got that push to the main event that he may have deserved.

In truth, singles wrestling isn't really where Kofi Kingston should be remembered. It might surprise you, but Kofi Kingston is actually the most successful tag team wrestling modern WWE, if we're taking total days as a tag champion to be our guide. Kofi has held the WWE Tag Team Championships longer than anyone else, his 667 days (and counting) putting him well ahead of John Morrison (541) in second.

In all, Kofi has won tag team gold in WWE on five occasions, and has done so with five different people. Whilst not all of these teams have been successful as his current one, this is an impressive stat to say the least.

So how do his partners rank against each other? Who was his only consistent partner with whom he didn't win tag gold? Read on to find out...

5. Rey Mysterio

Kofi Kingston teamed with Rey Mysterio on and off between 2009 and 2011, and the duo experienced a decent amount of success. Their high-flying styles, in a WWE context at least, meshed well, and working with the experienced Rey was clearly a boon for Kofi. After his feud with Randy Orton fizzled out Kofi found himself tagging with a number of people, but his team with Rey would be the most successful.

Early on in their tenure they even had a shot at the WWE World Tag Team Titles. In 2009 John Morrison & The Miz were holding the straps, and had pretty much beaten all comers and weren't shy about telling everyone. On an episode of RAW they were bragging about their success, only to be interrupted by Kofi & Rey. The match was on.

Miz & Morrison managed to keep their straps by the skin of their teeth that night, and despite having a 62% win rate together Rey & Kofi were never really in title contention again. Kofi would experience greater success with another high flying ace.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
